Build Support

Support the construction of safe, affordable homes — no experience required.

Build Support volunteers play a vital role on our Habitat build sites by helping move projects forward in meaningful, hands-on ways. Whether you’re swinging a hammer or lending support behind the scenes, your time helps Habitat homeowners move closer to stability and independence.

What You’ll Do

Build Support volunteers may assist with:

  • Framing, painting, siding, and finish work

  • Site preparation and cleanup

  • Material handling and organization

  • Landscaping and exterior projects

All volunteers are supervised by experienced crew leaders and staff, who provide instruction and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for everyone.

Good to Know

  • No construction experience necessary — training is provided on site

  • Individuals and groups welcome

  • Work is available during active build seasons

  • Minimum age and safety requirements apply

Every task, no matter how small, helps lower construction costs and brings a family one step closer to homeownership.

  • Great for individuals, students, and those with limited mobility

Every shift you volunteer helps turn donated items into funding for safe, affordable housing.

Group/Team Builds

Bring your team — friends, coworkers, faith group, school club, or neighbors — and make a meaningful impact together!

Group Builds are a great way to support our mission of building safe, affordable homes while strengthening community bonds and learning new skills. Whether you’re looking for a team-building activity, service project, or a fun way to give back, our build sites offer hands-on opportunities for groups to help Habitat partners make homeownership possible.

What to Expect

  • Work together on a real construction site: Your group will assist with a variety of tasks like framing, painting, landscaping, and other essential work that keeps our builds moving forward — no prior construction experience is needed.

  • Learn and grow as a team: Our experienced staff and crew leads guide volunteers throughout the day, teach safe practices, and help every participant feel confident and engaged.

  • Support our community: Every nail you drive and board you paint brings us closer to a new stable home for a local family.
